When many people think of cruising, they think of a vacation with an older clientele, being stuck on a ship for a week with no place to go or a vacation filled with sea sickness. That might have been true of the cruises in the distant past, but you’ll no longer find any of that on today’s Cruise Ships. Cruise vacations has been growing in popularity for more than a decade.
Here are a few cruise myths debunked. First of all, you are not stuck on a boat for a week. Most of the cruise ships today are like floating resort hotels. They offer fine dining, swimming pools, casino gaming, a host of recreational activities and plenty of shows and attractions to keep you busy all week. Most cruise ships stop a few times during the week to exotic islands and ports. Many travelers go to the sunny, warm Caribbean and spend the day on white sand beaches. Many travelers cruise to Hawaii or Bermuda. Although in the past the clientele has been older, today’s ships are geared toward families and young adults. There is even daycare available to care for children while their mother relaxes in a spa.
Cruising has come along way. The next time you are looking for a vacation idea, do a little research or check out some cruise sites and you’ll probably say it’s time to experience cruising.
