It is mid-summer already, but I hope that this article will still help others who still planning to beat the summer heat before it is gone though the weather in the last few days makes one think that the summer is almost gone. I am more focusing more in out of town travels within the country which includes company outings, and for those who want to spent quality time with family members. The following were my advices
• Think of a destination ahead of time, and book early if you want to stay in a hotel. During this season, some hotels didn’t accept reservations unless you do it ahead of time, maybe a month earlier.
• Means of transportation is also a big thing; a private vehicle will be perfect just in case you want to leave the place at any inconvenient time. One thing more make sure that the vehicle is in a good condition for a long travel, check the tire and gas.
• Bag. Of course an indispensable stuff those travelers should have, there are many bags to choose from, duffel, back pack, but if your destination is a beach, synthetic bags will be better; those who are made from plastic that is water proof. My experience, I always bring this shopping bag, a huge one with a short arm string so that I can just put in all my stuff, one disadvantage though, your things were messed up due to lack of partitions inside.
• And of course, the toiletries, this is very crucial especially if your itinerary doesn’t include a hotel for a stay, just a piece of advice stick to those products that is packed in tubes, never in sachets unless resealable because once opened, it will definitely leave a gooey, sticky and slimy stuff in your belongings. For the ladies out there a carry on bag or pouch with all of your personal effects, the lip gloss/balm whichever, a loose powder, (a messy one) or a compact. Wet tissue is also a must have, you can wipe it anything you want especially in your face and arms to freshen up. For the beach bum, it will be a sin not to bring a sun block, go the waterproof when you have a plan of staying the water all day long.
• The clothes of course, bring with you a lot of underwear, especially if you are going to the beach, bacteria lurks in moist places so frequent change of clothes and underwear is a must, and with towel.
• Don’t forget also to bring a medical kit with you, a disinfectant alcohol, a pact of cotton, some pain relievers will do. Better be ready than sorry.
• If you are only single and want to travel alone or want to hit a vacation spot, despair no more, you can have a lot of time being alone, for boredom busters try bring with you a portable DVD player, a laptop if you want to get in touch with your colleagues while on a vacation, and of course the best of all a good book. Now you have all the time to finish a book.
I know I miss some other stuff there, but I hope that in my own little way I give an idea. Enjoy your vacation; grab the opportunity before the summer is gone. Remember that once in a while you need a break. You deserve it! Enjoy your travel!
